“What Happens when Basic Writers come to College?” by Patricia Bizzell

1.)I think one positive benefit of drafting our papers with our own world view is that it gives us a chance to show the people who are reading our papers a personal side of us. We also get to explore a whole different writing experience. If we could draft our own papers with our own view, we may enjoy writing a lot more. It also helps people who may not be as literate. I do believe that everyone needs to learn standard english, but as long as we understand the standard english, we should be able to give our own views and write however we want. We can then reach out to more people and get them more excited about reading and writing.

2.) I disagree with her.I believe that it is completely possible to have a social life and education life together. At times it may be complicated and hard, but as long as you are commited to school, everything should be fine. I just think that you just have to learn to balance your life out.

Biography :))))

The name that I was given is Shawna Mouille. However, if you're my friend, you know to call me Mouille or Shawnanananananana! :) I love my friends. :) I don't like to brag, but they're awesome. And they are all pretty crazy, but especially Kandice, Dana, and Nikki. The things we do to make people laugh is unbelievable. We have known each other forever. I'm known to be the girl to talk too much and sing random songs at even more random songs. I'm in love with rock music. I can name any band at the top of my head. Concerts are the greatest things ever created, at least in my opinion. I have the biggest family. I have over fifty cousins and fifteen aunts and uncles. I am a christian. God will always be the main man in my life. He's amazing. :) I'm attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for mass communications-Journalism. Writing poetry is my passion. I literally write every single night. I may not be the best writer, but I think it counts that I try. I'm very excited to be taking English101 this year. I really hope to improve my writng by taking this class. English is my favorite subject ever, so I'm very excited. That's about it, guys. Thanks for reading all about me.
