Prompt #4 Claiming and Education
It applies to women because a lot of women do not go to college who want to. A good bit of women are stay at home mom's and take care of their families. I think that if we are capable of getting an education, we should be able to. There are a lot of people who think that it is a woman's duty to take care of the famly and let the man be the provider, but some women like being independent. Women can gain so much independence through an education. Everything we learn from college will give us more independence. The author states that it is our responsibity to get an eduacation. Like she said, "It is not our right; it is our claim." I think that we, as women, should get an education if we desire one. It is also appying to men because many men go to college and get an eduation as well. Like women, they deserve to get an education if they desire one and work hard enough. No one can take your education from you.
I think what she means is that there are two parts. The teacher teaches the students that are receiving an education. I think that the teacher gives the student knowledge to gain an education. And for that gift, I think that it is making the student rich because the teacher is giving them knowledge. By students being in a class, I think they agree to gain the knowledge that the teacher i trying to give them. The teacher agrees to teach the student and to give them the knowledge that they need in order to become more intellectual. I think that the teacher has the larger, ethical goal because the teacher has to be moral in some sense while teaching. The teacher has to teach whether the student wants to learn or not. But I think that both the student and the teacher both have to have some form of moral and ethical concerns.

Discussion Post Prompt #3
I nornally look over an assignment so much that by the time I am done with it, I have most of it memorized. I first look over the assignment at the begenning about five to ten times before I even start writing. That way, I know that I fully understand what I am going to be writing about. When I am begenning to write my paper, I keep reading the assignment to make sure that I am giving enough examples and details that go with the topic. I look over the assignment during the begenning as many as ten to fifteen times. And after my draft is done, I read over it over and over again many, many times. I also get my peers, parents, or classmates to read over it to make sure my paper is good enough to turn in. "Consider the evidence" is a great way to write a paper about a personal experience. Usually, from personal experiences, we can make our papers more real and intresting because we have experience in what we are writing about. It can also make a great paper because everyone is different and we can argue about our opinions on the subjuect. It is better to use your own evidence from experience because we really can't argue about things that we do not understand.
I found Idenitify the meaningful parts of the subject the most useful. I think by identifying the meaningful parts, we can make our papers relate to our audience. We can also understand papers more while reading them if we identify with the meaningful parts of papers. They are both giving examples of how you should be writing your papers. They are both also very helpful when writing your papers. They are different because the rubric goes way further in detail.

Discussion prompt #2
I believe that the definition of homemade would be something that can be made by someone. Homemade can also be more personable, rather than something that is store bought. I believe that by buying a storebought item you are being a very nice person and making sacrifices to get someone something. However, personally, I much rather receiving gifts that are home made. It makes me very appreciative that someone would take the time to make me something. I'm grateful either way, but I really appreciate someone who goes out the way to be creative and take the time to make me something. Store bought items usually require more money, but it usually is safer to buy someone a gift because you can always get an idea of what they like by their intrests or hobbies. However, not everyone may understand the importance of something that is home made. They may think that it is childish, or that the person is greedy with money. I have never known anyone personally that has educated themseleves outside of school, but there are people who have. Back in the time when there were slaves, the slaves weren't allowed to learn how the read and write. And I'm sure most of them were forced to learn on their own. And for that, I think that is very admirable.
He relates these in the concept of his work by showing how he worked hard and educated himself. He was in prison, but he knew that he still could have the satisfaction of being intelligent. He knew that it was crucial to have an education. He may have been in prison, but he still had the freedom of his education. And even though he was locked inside of a jail, he was still an intelligent person. And no one could take away that from him.
I am most intrested about writing and reading literature. I always try to write a journal entry every night before I go to bed. If I were in the same situation as Malcome X, I would probably write poetry alot and maybe even a book. I would hope that after I was released, I would be able to publish some of my work. I would take some of the experiences and put it into my writing and would be able to tell my story to those intrested in reading it. By reading and writing every day, I would probably be more literate and educated enough to continue on with a career to become a writer.
