“What Happens when Basic Writers come to College?” by Patricia Bizzell

1.)I think one positive benefit of drafting our papers with our own world view is that it gives us a chance to show the people who are reading our papers a personal side of us. We also get to explore a whole different writing experience. If we could draft our own papers with our own view, we may enjoy writing a lot more. It also helps people who may not be as literate. I do believe that everyone needs to learn standard english, but as long as we understand the standard english, we should be able to give our own views and write however we want. We can then reach out to more people and get them more excited about reading and writing.

2.) I disagree with her.I believe that it is completely possible to have a social life and education life together. At times it may be complicated and hard, but as long as you are commited to school, everything should be fine. I just think that you just have to learn to balance your life out.

  3. 1. Yep by drafting with an academic point of view, writing won't be much fun.

  4. I agree with you when u stated that as long as we understand standard English we still should be allowed to write however we want. And who knows maybe sometimes standard English would be included in some of our papers.
